Call me Eve. I live in the shadow of the Rockies, where Hallucigenia, Opabinia, and other strange creatures once roamed. I am a feminist and self-styled hermit. This site is dedicated to my passion for literature. The domain name is taken from a novel written by one of my favourite authors, Sylvia Townsend Warner.
My hobbies include the following:
- reading obscure Victorian literature* and monographs on terrorism,
- knitting and crochet (my current project is a colour-blocked sweater),
- playing point-and-click detective adventure games,
- rambling in the wilds and the wild city,
- watching films made over a hundred years ago, and
- drinking vodka spritzers.
